On May 16, 2024, we had the privilege of attending the presentation on Economic and Trade Cooperation by the Organization of Turkic States, held at the CEOE headquarters in Madrid. This event brought together prominent representatives from the member countries and served as a platform to strengthen economic and trade ties between the Turkic nations and Spain.
The opening session began with warm welcome remarks from Ms. Marta Blanco, President of the International Relations Committee of CEOE. Following her, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, emphasized the importance of cooperation among the member countries.
A notable highlight was the intervention by H.E. Mr. Danat Musayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Spain, representing the member state holding the rotating Chairmanship of the organization. His remarks underscored the vision and objectives of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship for this period.
Next, H.E. Ambassador Gökhan Turan, Director General for Central Asia and the Organization of Turkic States, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, discussed the challenges and opportunities in the region. Ms. Alicia Varela, Director General of International Trade and Investment, Secretariat of State for Trade of Spain, highlighted the significance of trade relations between Spain and the Turkic states.
The Organization of Turkic States presented a detailed overview of current and future economic and trade cooperation projects, emphasizing the creation of synergies and the identification of new business opportunities for all member countries.
The event also featured interventions by H.E. Ambassador Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), and Mr. Adem Kula, Secretary General of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). Both highlighted the crucial roles their respective institutions play in fostering investment and trade in the region.
At 13:00, the floor was opened for a Q&A session, allowing attendees to interact directly with the speakers. This interaction further enriched the understanding of the economic cooperation strategies and policies among the countries.
The event concluded with an informal lunch, where we had the opportunity to network and share insights with other attendees. This space was essential for strengthening relationships and exploring potential future collaborations.
Attending this event provided us with a deeper understanding of the dynamics and opportunities offered by the Organization of Turkic States to its members and international partners like Spain. We left with a wealth of knowledge and are confident that the discussions and connections made will positively contribute to future economic and trade cooperation initiatives.
We will continue to monitor developments closely and look forward to participating in future events of this nature to further foster relations and explore new collaboration opportunities.
Until next time!
Amazing Event!!!!!!
