Is a high-level conference organized by the Diplomatic Coalition in collaboration with the Diplomatic Council UNO Reg, to be held in November 2021 in Madrid, Spain. The format of participation will be adapted according to the evolution of COVID-19 and related health and travel regulations, with the safety and well-being of all participants as a top priority. Organized and sponsored by the Diplomatic Coalition, the “Diplomatic International Day – Embracing Sustainable Commitments” convened distinguished personalities and subject‑matter experts from public, private, and civil‑society sectors for a focused, practical debate. By fostering bilateral business rounds among participants, the event aimed to translate high‑level dialogue into concrete partnerships. Anchored in the SDG 17 ethos of revitalized global partnerships, the Day sought to consolidate alliances and innovative cooperation modalities tailored to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. The plenary session opened with a keynote presentation by H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia in collaboration with the UN Development Solutions Network (SDSN), outlining strategic frameworks for joint action. Building on this vision, attendees proposed a series of collaboration agreements that link governments, industry leaders, NGOs, and academic institutions. These agreements will guide the implementation of projects and initiatives—ranging from green infrastructure to inclusive digital platforms—underscoring a shared commitment to sustainable development and resilient, forward‑looking diplomacy.

Diplomatic International Day convened ambassadors, UN entities, private‑sector leaders, NGOs, academic experts, and community representatives to create a strategic networking platform under the 2030 Agenda’s Decade of Action. Participants explored how diplomatic channels can mainstream gender equality (SDG 5) across foreign‑policy portfolios and accelerate scalable initiatives in economic empowerment, political participation, and digital inclusion. In three thematic roundtables chaired by senior envoys, delegates discussed best practices for linking women‑led enterprises with international investors, supporting women’s leadership in peacebuilding and governance. Furthermore bilateral business rounds yielded over a dozen memoranda of understanding, establishing partnerships among embassies, universities, impact funds, and NGOs.
