On 14th July 2021, Ambassador of the State of Palestine, His Excellency, Mr. Amer Musa Odeh, welcomed a high-level delegation to review key aspects of the forthcoming Diplomatic International Week; an SDG-oriented event aimed at promoting the shared role of diplomacy and private sector in the achievement of Agenda 2030. Hosted at the Palestinian Embassy in Madrid, the Dean of Arab Ambassadors exchanged views on the upcoming event with the Head of the Diplomatic Council UNO Reg. in Spain, Mr. Juan Lorente Gonzalez; the President of the Eco de España en Árabe Foundation, Dr. Fadi Salfeti, and the Head of Diplomatic Relations of HM Hospitals, Ms. Sihem Ameur.
All this within the framework of cooperation and collaboration between Spanish institutions and Arab embassies, carried out by the Diplomatic Coalition, the Diplomatic Council and Eco de España en Árabe, with the aim of opening the horizon of exchange between the Arab countries and the Kingdom of Spain, which began with the Diplomatic International Day held at Casa Árabe in Madrid, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Arab League in Spain.
During the visit, perspectives of cooperation and association were discussed, where the ambassador reviewed the return of the conditions experienced by the Palestinians under occupation and the importance of international diplomatic work.
Lorente thanked the Ambassador for his cooperation and active participation in the Diplomatic International Day, wishing him a great future in his career full of triumphs.
For his part, Salfeti explained the need for the permanent presence of the Palestinian voice in all international and regional forums, wishing the ambassador permanent success.
Ameur, also thanked him on his behalf and on behalf of HM Hospitals the Ambassador for his constant interaction and welcome for cooperation and partnership with everyone, wishing him health and well-being.
At the conclusion of the visit, HE the Ambassador received a certificate of appreciation and recognition from the institutions organizing the International Diplomatic Day for their active participation.
The delegation of the Diplomatic Council was accompanied by Alejandra Vázquez Munguia, Sara Vela Linares.
